Hair Style Maintenance Question

Question: "If I've had my hair shampooed & set on rollers, rods, straws etc @ the hair salon, how do I maintain it from home?"

Answer: Here's a few options: depending on your hair texture you may need a spray sheen/gloss or a light moisturizer every other day to combat dryness, for sleeping use a (satin type draw string or comfortable fitting elastic) bonnet. You can roll your hair on comfortable hair curlers or pin curl when sleeping (if you prefer to keep curls firm) NO ADDT'L WATER / SETTING LOTION / GEL /  SERUM / HINDU SHEEN etc IS NEEDED unless your hair got wet or frizzy & your curls are almost gone. If you do use setting products because your hair got wet, you need to sit under a hairdryer til dry so your hair will come out smooth. When in doubt, always ask your stylist. If anyone has any maintenance tips to share, please, post a comment.

Anonymous, could be several reasons for frizzy ends: ends may need trimming, didn't dry thoroughly, got wet,too much hair on each curler, if setting lotion was used it wasn't combed through to your ends or maybe end papers are needed or hair wasn't taken all the way to end of curler before rolling. Thank you & hope that helps.

  2. A friend just shared a tip:before she rolls her dry hair on curlers, she uses KeraCare styling wax stick on the tips of her hair.
